Karčema Group "Karčema" started it's life in 1996. at Šilutė's agricultural school. First group's musicians were the schoul students. In 1997 Šilutė's foreman suggested a playing place in Šilutė's township hall and then "Karčema" became Šilutė's township ensemble. Students and even Šilutė's musicians started to play there. Several years the group played in it's region and in republican festivals. Group's "Jonis" leader P.Trijonis found out about group "Karčema", in 1998 summer got to provincial country music festival "Sheriff holiday"(Tauragė) . That was the best inspiration for playing country music. Then group started to interest, and to play country music seriously, even though they didn't reject to play in folk festivals. In 1999, group recorded it's first casette (there you could listen folk and country music). At the same year 3 musicians went to find better life, but group found some new musicians. In 2000 autumn group "Karčema" with "Juknaičiai dance group" played in Germany (Emerich and Kleve). Then it collaborated with "Jonis" and Virgis Stakėnas. "Karčema" attended these festivals: "Country joninės"; "Sheriff holiday"; "Balts country" and in 2002 Karčema" played in country music festival "Visaginas country". In 2003 year the group played in radio. We perform much with group "Salūnas". The group has played in Germany, Poland, Spain, Italy, Ireland. The group "Karčema" often takes part in LRT programs. Service: group has it's own transportable field scene (3*9 meters) and sound equipment (3kw), which you can lease. Country dance group The group was founded in 1996. Leader Reminta Stoškuvienė. There are three age groups dancers: children, youth and other. "Salūnas" takes part in many city, district, republic festivals, in musical clubs, companies presentatations. In 1998 and 1999 "Salūnas" attended to country music festival "Sheriff holiday". In 2002 August 16-17d. "Salūnas" was in international country music festival "Visaginas country" (Visaginas), "Country Midsummer Day" (Šiauliai), in 2003 Balts country and Folk music festival "White road" (Šiauliai). "Salūnas" is playing up in Šilutė's ir Lithuanian country music life now. In 2003 December there was founded country dance club of Šilutė. Dancers age is from 25 years to 45 years. They dance country line dance style dances more. Club communicates with other Lithuanian cities country FAN clubs, attends to country clubs congresses and festivals, shows off in various city events. Both with country music group "Karčema" organize Šilutė's country party "Naujakuriai country". In 2004 08 we were on the concert tour in Italy, appeared in "Visaginas country", LRT program "Lietuvos dainų dešimtukas". The little "Salūnas" on September were in LRT program "Mažųjų žvaigždžių valanda". Šilutė's country dance club and "Salūnas" were in country dance festival in Latvia "Line dance" and in Palanga "Pajūrio vėjai". On December "Salūnas" has celebrated it's 10 years life anniversary donating a concert "Country Christmas in Šilutė" for Šilutė. On 12-14 August 2005 the Junior "Salūnas" took part in international festival "Country viltys 2005" in Visaginas. Not only they had done well in the day concert but also on the big festival scene. In 2005 September country dance group "Salūnas" took part in international festival "Buen Viaje" in Spain. There were groups Russia, Georgia, Estonia, Kazakhstan, Lithuania. Dancers had a very good time, they held į concerts and got lots of aplauses. They got some invitations to other festivals. 26-28 February 2006 in Saulkrasti city, Latvia, there was country dance championship. Junior "Salūnas" got 1st place in there class. As well, 1st place was won by Country club of Šilutė. One more prize was won by group leader Reminta, who was the 2nd in solo class. |
