Special school provides the students with achievement certificates according to
Lithuanian Republic Ministry of Education and Science released order.
Mission of the school – help the children with special needs to educate, learn
according to one’s abilities, get an education the social disjuncture. The
school provides general basic special education for children and young people
having small, average, big and very big special needs under age of 6 – 21. The
children are taught according to primary special, basic special and job –
oriented education programs.

in the district for children with special needs and successfully preparing each
pupil for integration in the society.
Mission
Provide proper and timely help for all mentally retarded children and young
people under age of 21, increase their education effectiveness and help them
educate and develop themselves according to their abilities, receive the basic
education, overcome the social disjuncture.
Aims of the school
- To acknowledge and uphold mentally retarded and complex disabled
children mental and physical powers, acknowledge each personality.
- To provide general education, train children communicative abilities,
provide with an opportunity for continuing education and prepare the pupils
for an individual life in a society.
- To provide pedagogical, social and methodical help for the persons with
special needs, and their parents ( caregivers).
- To provide consultations, organize seminars; share the work experience
with comprehensive school teachers.
Goals of the school
- To capacitate the children with special needs to train their general and
special abilities, to capacitate self – expression and socialization,
gradually adopt school surroundings to the children with disabilities.
- To accept each pupil as a value, to train pupil’s moral and healthy
lifestyle, inculcate humanity values.
- To help the pupils to enrich spiritual, psychical and physical powers.
Rusne special school was established September 1st, 1952 according to the
behest of Lithuanian Republic Minister of Education.
